Stat System Guide draft
Races in the world of Fade to Black differ greatly in both their lore and their abilities. Some are older than others, some are stronger than others, and some are faster than others. Although this is a primarily free-form roleplay, there is a need to provide some sense of balance and a method to gauge power.
The stat point system has been streamlined to make gauging another character's power quick and simple, while also allowing for a character themselves to gauge their own capabilities and limitations. There are a number of different attributes that you can allocate a total of x points into upon creation, though the limitations are entirely dependent on the character's race.
The following attributes are what will be used to gauge a character's capabilities:
Strength: (Might, Brawn, Power, Physical strength. A way to measure the pure raw strength of a character.)
Agility: (Dexterity, Reflexes, Speed, Skill. A way to measure the general speed/agility and accuracy/skill weapons of a character.)
Vitality: (Stamina, Endurance, Health. Vitality is used to measure the endurance of a character and how much punishment they can withstand.)
Wisdom: (Willpower, Spirit, Pysche, etc. A method of measuring the general willpower of a character and how well they can use magic.)
The stats that a character starts with vary depending on the race of the character. Exact amounts can be located in the Race Guide.
The following list describes each tier of stats:
